Jason Horsley / interview

March 26th, 2012

Jason Horsley is a writer, scholar, former podcaster and misadventurer. You might know him by his pseudonym Aeolus Kephas, or Jason Kephas, or just Jake. Who and what he might be is difficult to pin down. He wrote a book that I very much liked titled THE LUCID VIEW.

I do my best to keep up with Jason's mind, and hopefully there is plenty to chew on in this interview. We also talk about God, UFO abductions, unconscious filters, Jesus, Dr. Steven Greer, the ego and the metaphoric map.

Just a thought - I really enjoyed this interview, as I have all your excellent broadcasts! [although I found Jason’s podcast Stormy Weather. .well . . nearly impossible to listen to - but then Im English too . . :) ] . .My question is; have you seen the 4 hour documentary from the now deceased William Cooper on youtube, where he analyses many UFO puzzle pieces, and also outs Whitley as, well, another Doty. I have never liked Whitley, for the same reasons as Jason cites. Stage Magic and professional Storytelling are both well-worn but effective devices when you have humans in search of a narrative. ‘Something’ is clearly going on, and I am also fascinated by abductions. But Occams Razor is ever sharp, and always to hand.

Greer is a, well, I agree with you both. A creepy, manipulative money-grubber if ever there was one.

The recent book Mirage Men, though utterly mendacious, is a useful read-between-the-lines. Crop Circles are a large part of the attendant stage magic, and they are also very obviously made by, and for, human consumption.

Kind regards, And I look forward to your next interview!

I’ve also seen many owls recently, and in the day too.

    Kieran.
